broken installer/kernel-Kernel Panic on near new iMac G5 17&

Postby tom_anna » 12 Sep 2005, 21:25

Dear Forum,
It would seem that the ydl version 4.0.1 distro installer/bootkernel is broken.

Please see our 2 (two) prior posts in the G4 G5 and XServe section

Threads:

Titled: iMac G5 17" - access of bad area, sig: 11[#1] - Kernel

http://www.yellowdog-board.com/viewtopic.php?t=1033

and........

Titled: ydl ver 4.0.1 installer broken on PPC64

http://www.yellowdog-board.com/viewtopi ... =3639#3639

You need to put a "Sticky" up ydl re: ver 4.0.1 on Apple G5's being broken, and "NOT" installable !!!!!

ALSO....... you may care to tell all your clients those who pay and those who don't when you intend to release a version that doesn't have a broken kernel / installer,,,,,, ASAP......... AND....... get it onto your ydl mirrors, to try to sooth some of our pain.
