Realtime posix threads in Yellow Dog 3.0 / Kernel 2.4.21-rc1

Postby Rob » 16 Sep 2004, 21:57

Any trick to getting threads to run in realtime mode on yellow dog? I have a threaded application I compile and run on Red Hat/ i86 kernel 2.4.20 that gives me FIFO scheduled realtime threads (as displayed with ps -elfcm). The same application compiled and run as root on a ppc board running Yellow Dog creates the threads OK but runs them in timeshare mode. Same version of gcc on both platforms. I had someone compile this code on Monta vista - kernel 2.6 and it runs in realtime mode as it should. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Rob
