problems w/ wlan and kernel source

All kernel questions! 2.4 or new 2.6 kernel, compiling, modules, panics, etc.

I don't suppose anyone can help with the original question of where the full source is stored can you? I am having the same trouble, and although I have installed the kernel source rpm, the wlan configuration make file still insists that the directory /usr/src/linux-2.6.8-1.ydl.7 just contains the header files and not the full source.

hmm.....as far as im aware if you installed the kernel source (though yum im hoping) it should be exactly where you're saying it is. My only thought is to 1 run a yum update/upgrade (get the newer kernel 2.6.9 though 2.6.10 will be availible soon) and yum remove kernel-source, yum install kernel-source (basically remove and reinstall the kernel source) if your still getting the error not sure what to tell u

Have you tried yum upgrade kernel-source ?

If it states you already have it try:

yum clean kernel-source

then

yum install kernel source
