YDL 4.0: External speakers are silent.

Hi folks-

I just installed YDL 4.0 on a G4 Quicksilver 867. After some tinkering (and by taking advice from another post on the board and switching from ALSA to OSS). Sound works in both Gnome and KDE, but:

It only comes out of the tiny built-in speaker in the front of the machine. I can't seem to figure out how to route sound to the headphone jack where I have external Cambridge Soundworks speaker plugged into.

Working the settings in Kmix, Gmix or Aumix doesn't work. Any ideas? I've searched all over the Web for a solution, but have yet to find one.
