Video card perfomance

I have a 867 pb with a radeon 32mb. I loaded tux racer and it's very slow. To the point that I can't move around in the menu. How can I fix it.

which radeon card; on the cards upto 9000 you should be able to enable dri (which is the 3d support) by editing your XFree86config file

And for the Tux Racer program, you HAVE TO enable the 3D acceleration DRI layer.
