x server HELP

im running ydl6 on ps3 and just messed about with video settings and saved them now when i boot up the x server fails and i cnt log on is there anyway of putting the default video settings back ??? thx

Which video settings did you change? Do you see text on the screen at all?

It sounds like you may have edited xorg.conf which would prevent X Windows from starting. If this is true, you should still have some sort of display - probably text only. If this is true, you should be able to hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 and get to a text login screen. From there, you should be able to restore your xorg.conf settings by logging in as root.

If you aren't getting a display at all, it's possible you were editing yaboot.conf . This can be fixed, but it's much trickier. There's steps here: viewtopic.php?t=3097
