how SHOULD my performance be (sawtooth G4 350, ati rage 128)

I am going to phrase this as a question rather than a problem because I'm not sure: I'm wondering what the graphical abilities of my Sawtooth G4 350 with ati rage 128 should be.

ie. is it normal that it shouldn't be able to handle the "twang" screen saver.

I think I did everything that i'm supposed to as far as XF86Config goes: dri loaded, r128 driver. Also gave kernel arguments in yaboot.conf : append="video=aty128fb:accel,vmode:20,cmode:24 5 .

So anyways, am I being silly? Is my computer just not supposed to be able to handle this? (but this would seem strange since the machine can handle such stuff under osx). well anyways, i'm just like a lost puppy because I don't know if I have a problem. Thats kindof pitiful isn't it . umm...im not sure about the appends to the bootloader

I don't think that really ever made any noticed difference anyways. I'm just curious if there's something i'm missing as a n00b, or if its just supposed to behave like this.
