Sound server error with YDL4.0

Postby Caesar » 01 Feb 2005, 14:51

Everytime i log in a message appears:
Code: Select all
Sound server informational message:

Error while initializing the sound driver:
SNDCTL_DSPSETFMT failed - Invalid argument

The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

I can still hear sounds.. but i think i'm missing somenthing.

Ok, i've found no solution to this problem.
The only sounds i can hear are the bell and the sound output for volume up/down keyboard keys... when i push tohse buttoms two transparent windows appear: one KDE style like and the other is the MacOS X one.. is it normal?

Here the msg error window:

I'm trying CDs, Mp3s, OGGs, Mp4... no way.

Any idea?
