YDL 3.0: USB, MODEM, DVD, FIREWIRE

Hello,

I've installed YDL 3.0.1 on my Ibook Se466 Graphite but now I've got some problems with USB, Modem and Dvd and Firewire.

What have I to do to see them working?
Sorry but it's my first time on Linux

what exactly are your problems. What are you doing to get them and any error messages would help

My problems:

Modem: on the startup process Linux tells me that modem device has been deleted

Usb: when I use my Usb pen drive I can see it blinking my I've got no icon on the desktop or I cannot access to data in it.

Dvd: when I insert a Dvd I hear the dvdrom working but nothing appear in my screen. When I use a music cd I can see the progam working but I can't hear no music. If I use a data cd I cannot access to the data in it.

I can see that Linux recognises my hard disk, video card, sound card and also dvdrom so I'm thinking that probably, I have to install or configure something better.

YLD release is 3.0 Sirius.
