Screen resolution

Hi.

I have a LCD monitor (Asus) which can go up to a 1920x1080 screen resolution (which I use in Mac OS).

With YDL (6.2) I can't. Here's what happens:

In the "Prefences" Menu, when chossing "screen resolution", the maximum resolution that I have is 1440x990 (which gets me a weird desktop with most of the things hidden to the left). So I prefer the 1368x768 resolution.

In the "Administration" menu, after choosing "screen", I don't have the 1920x1080 option. In the hardware list my LCD isn't there, so I choose a "generic LCD" with 1920x1080 as a resolution. But, in the resolution pane, I don't have it (the maximum is 1680x1050).

Any help, please?

Just to be clear - you're running YDL on a PowerPC Mac?

If not - can you detail a little more about your hardware? CPU type? Platform? Video card (if any)?

Cheers,
Paul

sorry, I forgot that. It's a Power Mac G4, upgraded to 1,6 Ghz and with 2 G of RAM. The card is a nVidia Geforce 6200 (which is recognized by the YDL).

Anyone with a Mac want to chime in here?

(Sorry - I have a PS3 myself.)

Cheers,
Paul

Sorry for the slow response -- been busy lately. Unfortunately I'm still having trouble with video as well (see here so I'm not sure where to begin.

If you are using e17, you may need to use this menu item to fix your desktop alignment after changing resolution:

Windows > Cleanup Windows
