This
$ jackd -v -m -dalsa -dhw:0 -r44100 -p512 -n2 -i2 -o2 -S
seems to make it start, though ardour can't connect. And trying qjackctl with these options seems to sort of start it, though I get constant pop up errors of:
13:13:25.785 Could not connect to JACK server as client.
though in the message window, jack seems to keep running.
