E17 and Entrance

I've gotten E17 installed and working, but I'm trying to use the Enlightenment display manager, Entrance. I've edited /etc/inittab and /etc/X11/prefdm without any luck. After editing /etc/inittab I have to go through a console login and then startx just opens up an Enlightenment session. When I edit /etc/X11/prefdm, my normal display manager (gdm) is used. Entrance is working; I've tried the ''entrance --test' command, and it showed up fine. Perhaps I don't know enough about X to get this working, or maybe there is something different about YDL that I do not know about that is holding me back. Is there anyone who has any such knowledge on changing display managers or maybe even specifically using Entrance?

I again do not know enough about the topic, but you could define a .xsession (goto Xorg for the HowTo) or a .xinitrc (for startx)--the form for my Garnome session (in /home/my-user)looks like:

#!/sh/bin

dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session /usr/local/bin/garnome-session

the second line could be as simple as
/usr/local/bin/whatever-you-want-here

(done with both .xsession and .xinitrc)

you could define a start-up script in /usr/local and call it up a file similar to above--

then chmod 755 your mods--

chmod 755 /home/your-user/.xsession or .xinitrc (one or the other)
chmod 755 /user/local/bin/whatever-it-is

My thoughts--take them for whatever you want and leave the rest
