Samba 3.0.20 upgrade
Posted: 02 Sep 2005, 17:02I've attempted to upgrade samba to 3.0.20 and everything looks successful except when I restart the inetd and smbd services (service smb restart) or even after *gasp* a reboot, smbstatus and smbd -V still reports 3.0.10xxx.
This is what I've done.
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
make install
When I go to where the binaries are installed there are .old files as the documentation states. Any ideas?
