Yellowdog 4 on PowerMac G4 867 60gb 640Mz SuperDrive

i'm a newbie
just recently installed ydl 4 on my Mac tri-boot system OSX Panther, OS9 Classic , YDL 4, i'm not able to play Audio CDs nor DVDs i keep getting this error message:

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device/dev/dap can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue using the null output device

can someone please help me find a solution to this problem
