Now you can access the XMB by holding down the PS button on the Sixaxis while running YDL -- cool! :D

You can see it in action here!

Please tell me someone clicked on the link!

"Be good to your mother!" :P

Funny thing was all those things were actually running fairly well, all at the same time (snes9x-gtk, xe, mame, vice (c64), uae, and quake2). Only the first one launched had sound though (snes9x-gtk).

Me, just for fun.

They should, considering how well Vice ran on the PS2. C64 emulation was full speed!

Only the first one launched had sound though (snes9x-gtk).

In more "bleeding edge" distros, pulseaudio is supposed to fix that. But apparently it often doesn't work properly in Ubuntu 8.10 or FC10, on x86 anyway.

PulseAudio was difficult to get working properly when they first started using it on Fedora 8, at least for PPC / PS3 ... my fix was just to disable it. All the different sound systems on Linux drives me crazy ... :P

I think the great bard Devo put it best. To wit:

Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom from choice
Is what you want

Cheers,
Paul
