LCD-battle: Philips 42PFL3604 vs Panasonic TS-l42u10

Could anyone give me advice between these 2 LCD-TV's?

Which one stands out? The Japanese Panasonic or the Dutch Philips?

Panasonic TS-l42u10 (French site with specs)

Philips 42PFL3604 (German site with specs)

http://www.consumer.philips.com/c/ferns ... 12/prd/de/

The Philips one shows clearly 60Hz compatibility (refer to Display-Auflösung). I'm not sure yet about the Panasonic one, that's why I opened this topic:

I would really appreciate if someone could have a look and give his/her opinion.

With the info being in two different languages I can't read, it's a bit difficult to help. :P In terms of what to look for as far as use with PS3 Linux, I'd definitely want the ability to display a full 720p / 1080i/p image within the visible area of the screen. On my Samsung TV this feature is called "Just Scan" but there are quite a few other names for it as well.

Typically this is not listed in the specs and buried somewhere in the user manual, usually in a section regarding setting picture modes.

Maybe you can find PDF copies of the manual(s) from the manufacturer(s)?

Here's a good site with forums:

I googled about that, this is a screen of M.E. with Just Scan:

With Auto/wide:

I got them from this site:

Thanks for the hints. I'll look into it.
