something is wrong with uploading avatars.

quick workaround:

if your image has required size and dimensions rename the
extension from whatever it is to .gif
upload it.

i'll fix this as soon as i have some spare time.

there is an update to phpbb.
I'll update the board tonight, so I hope this fixes the bug.

the avtar thing is not a phpbb problem but a platform problem.
will update apache and php soon.
