Was looking for a thread I started about Java GUI that ppietro assisted me with and it's missing !

Is the board having message retention problems ?

What I do when I need to find old posts is use the Advanced search and specify the author. Especially if I'm trying to find a post I originally wrote. I find that using the author plus selected keywords finds these posts almost immediately.

Tried clicking the link says...You are not authorised to read this forum.

I tried the author search as well, in addition to keywords java, GUI, Eclipse, swing, etc. No hits returned for what I was looking for. However the message count was accurate - just the entire thread is missing.

You know - we re-organized this board slightly. I wonder if the new forum has permission issues. I'll take it up with billb - keeper of all things YDL Board!

In the meantime - if you always stay logged in, you might try logging off and re-logging back in.
