Installing Quake 2

Postby kerpel » 17 Sep 2005, 08:00

Hello,I am running yellowdog linux 3.0.1 and I am trying to install quake 2.I found a quake 2 rpm from here but it has a lot of dependencies and those dependencies have dependencies. Is there a easier way to install all of these packages, like with yum or something?
Thanks for the help,
kerpel

yeah just type either "yum install packagename or "yum list | less" the latter will show you all the packages that you dont have installed

Hello StarKnight83 thanks for the reply.I'm not sure I can even point yum to that server though.I was wondering,I have been using freshrpms.net to get software with yum ,are there any other good sites like that where I can use yum or apt-get to get packages?
Thanks,
