Majority of Top 500 Supercomputers Use Linux !

Here's a spiffy piece of trivia...

Put in the most resent year and select Operating System from the drop-down.

Linux operating systems account for 77.4% share running on the Top 500 supercomputers, Winblows is a measly 1% :lol:

what is altix, what is SGI..

look into NUMA and CPU scaling in linux, this is awesome..

I just hope YDL can find it in their harts to look at XFS from SGI (from an installer point of view).

and it all started out with projects like "beowulf".
