Linux security challenges and YDL

Postby aguilarojo » 26 Mar 2014, 18:28

It has been some years since YDL 6.2 which runs on the venerable Apple PowerPC Macs and older Sony Playstation models which maintain the OtherOS option. Fixstars has progressed to develop YDL 7.0 but this resurrection of YDL runs on hardware produced by Fixstars. In the past Fixstars was careful to allow YDL to run in multiple hardware platforms - it may be useful to be sure that this remains so by asking Fixstars directly.

Currently the fallout resulting from the revelations generated throughout the IT industry as a result of the Snowden case are still producing completely unexpected effects not only throughout governments, but also common citizens using computers, cell phones, or any electronics as well as the internet - but also Linux users (professionals and hobbyists). Previously some of us had known for some time of YDL becoming increasingly more vulnerable as a security risk due to it's growing age and lack of support.

However, the real problem is that the NSA program may have infected EVERY Linux distribution rendering them unreliable for critically important tasks previously believed pristine.

Everything on the Earth has a purpose.
Every disease an herb to cure it.
And every person has a mission.
This is the Indian Theory of Existence.
