any software avail. to aid in the viewing of e17 on a sdtv..like something that inable you to scrool through a larger viewing.. i know a few video card packages have this sort of feature for external tv viewing through the tv out of a graphics card.. wandering if somthing of the sort was availible for linux...

Yes, you can run X on sdtv, you'll have low resolution though, even lower than X on a PS2 Linux kit on a TV. I don't know what's up with that. If a PS2 Linux kit can do 640x448 in NTSC I don't know why X on SDTV in Yellow Dog is 576x384.
