Would a USB adapter work for wi-fi?

Postby Blackz06 » 19 Jan 2007, 22:00

Just installed Linux a week or so ago. Too bad my PS3 is over 100 feet from my wireless router. I really can't run an ethernet cable that long, so the only other thing I can think of is to use a USB Wi-Fi adaptor. Will using one work when using Linux?

A wirless ethernet bridge like the Linksys WET54G would probably be a better choice, no drivers needed.

I've been the WET54's Wireless B predecessor the WET11 for over 4 years now. with my PS2 Linux kit One nice thing about them is they can bridge multiple devices if you attach a switch to them.
