mouse/window problem

Hi everyone my name is kevin and i have just put YDL on my ps3 with no problems apart from the window and menu systems dont react to my mouse clicks. I can click on a menu then a new one will open up and the pointer will not be able to click on it. I have been to the menu and windows settings and tried to sort it but am having no luck. The mouse works fine i was just wondering , being used to windows all this time i might be doing something really stupid. The only way i can get the mouse to react to a certin window is if i "Alt tab" to bring it to the top.

PS i cant click on my desktop items "kevins home" " "my computer" or "trash" but i can hihglight them by draging the mouse over them..
