WICD has disappeared from the Package Manager list

Hi,

I have the usual issue with WICD and was trying to solve it following advice on the board. I have also run an uninstall from Add/Remove Software but now the WICD package has completely disappeared from the package list. How can I get it back to reinstall WICD? Or how can I install it without the Add/Remove Software? I have spent hours trzing to find out but no luck so far.
