VNC problems

just wanted to make a post saying that i was fighting with vnc for 2 days to get it working from my vista box to my ps3 and it worked for a while fine then wouldn't work at all... kept gettin socket error or waiting on message from server...then i unhooked it from my surge protector (my ethernet cord went from router->surge protector -> ps3 and its working fine now.....just lettin people know that if they were having a similar problem that may be it. my connection on it seems to be faster also
