Hook D-Box 2 to PS3

Hi,

since I'm pretty much a noob in linux - only some experince with ubuntu on a PC - I'm now going for YDL on my PS3. Along this lines I want to use a D-Box 2 running on Neutrino to stream DVB-C. I guess it should not be to difficult to stream from the D-Box via LAN Router to the PS3 and save the files on a USB Hard dirve?!
Would it be possible to directly connect the D-box 2 to the PS3 - to have the more elegant solution and save LAN cable through the the hole house.....
