Update I do have Ekiga installed and the VOIP works flawlessly, I just made a call on it and it works fine. I have to get someone else with this setup to try the VIDEO CONFERENCE but it works like a charm for me!
In order to use ekiga pc-to-phone service you will have to create and add money to an account, Otherwise all that works is pc-to-pc calls!
You know I think I have been the 1st to get a lot of things working on YDL, I remember when I set out to install it for the 1st time, One things certain when you know how to research and get around on a windows pc, It makes it so much easier to merge over to linux and be able to locate needed dependencies and such.
I guess we can now officially say VOIP does work on the ps3 and the ps3 eye toy microphone is sufficient to do the job! I tested a call from my ps3 to my laptop with fedora on it and ekiga installed. Call went through fine and audio was working fine too, There is even an equalizer to adjust the sound input from the microphone. Software is pretty nice and all this time never heard of it or knew it came pre installed!
