What default services can I turn off? Sendmail?

I'm wondering what services can be turned off that are on by default after installation in 6.2? I noticed sendmail was turned on by default and I don't think I need it running? Isn't this if your running a mail server or something? It's running on smtp port 25 and I'm pretty sure I don't need it. Any ideas and suggestions for other services I might not need. I use ssh,cups ,etc.

Also, since their is a low amount of RAM available for a Linux distro you can speed up your system by disabling process on the system.

Here are a few I disabled in Ubuntu:

So, I'm going to go ahead and disable sendmail since it doesn't seem to serve me a useful purpose. Kind of surprised it was on by default. Not sure about some of the other ones he mentions above since I used a few of those myself. Always good to try and free up some resources!

EDIT again. Sorry I did some more searching and found another valuable thread regarding this issue. My first searches for sendmail and services by topic only didn't turn up anything.
