I have firefox 3.0 installed and I want to update to the latest, but I only have 3.0 listed in my repos. I downloaded the .tar.bz2 file from mozillas site, what do I do with it?

I don't believe they offer a pre-built version for PPC Linux and it's not a trivial build for YDL. Paul (ppietro) usually provides us with updated builds that I add to my "ps3bodega" software repo -- better to wait for that.

Opera, on the other hand, does provide builds for PPC Linux. Last time I checked I had the latest version in ps3bodega. If not, you could always download the latest directly from them.

Well that sucks, but bot that much

I guess I'll just wait for the next update, there's no reason to switch after I finally got YouTube working

BTW - I just generated a new build of Firefox 3.6.3 in that thread. It's not an RPM, but it works. Hopefully, one of our RPM build gurus can use my documented build procedure to generate an RPM for the community.
