Interesting -- I wonder if that's the regular Mesa OpenGL driver or if the Cell is helping at all.

It's Mesa. You can tell from the Renderer string at the beginning. It would of said Gallium with the Cell.

I'll post a tut on how to install the cellsdk3.0 on ubuntu 10.04 and the required changes needed to compile and use the cell-driver on the ps3. I'll also post up a tut, on how to install xbmc on your ps3's (OtherOS is required for both, so if you updated, your out of luck for now >.<) asap, but be warned, it takes 3+ hours just to compile xbmc ready for use, so its not a quick process to install it.

As a request also, as I mentioned before, the mesa3d cell-driver Here is the way forward to improve the speeds of xbmc and other programs on the ps3 (until an exploit to give us full rsx usage is found), so if you can, please contribute to the project




As soon as I get a new keyboard (kids decided to spill there juice on mine) I'll be all over this, in ydl form of course
