Wicd crashes

When I launch wicd, it crashes, I get "wicd-client --no-tray"

I tried the the tech guide on "Wicd crashes upon opening" but that didn't help.

Help please?

Be aware that you can't use the advisory exactly as written, unless you've enabled sudo support. Instead, replace:

sudo bash - [ENTER]

with

su --login [ENTER]
