I;ve downloaded YDL for PS3 6.1

trying burning it to DVD+-R (both) and neither worked

After saying burning Successful. I just remove the DVD and put into the playstation nothing is there. and on the computer the DVD appears that it hasn't been burned yet.

I've even tried the thing of the Bootable USB and It didn't work.. Is there something wrong with my DVD .. I've used many types of DVD;s with no success and many different programs and also no luck.
I really need your help .. Please answer ASAP ...

Thanks in Advance.

Another thing I've just noticed that the Sha1sum is different.. .
Is that could be the problem.

The one (original) on the site:
c9ed7aba1191fef5fedd745ea21e7e308206ccfe yellowdog-6.1-ppc-DVD_20090201_NEW_PS3.iso

What I've found in my ISO file is totally different.
it begins with 36e40de...... Totally Different!

Could re-downloading the file solve the problem with the burning.

Thanks

Hmm - two thoughts.

First - yes - the SHA1SUM is vitally important. If they don't match, you don't have a good download - as simple as that.

Now - the second thought. You say "What I've found in my ISO file is totally different". Are you looking inside the ISO for a SHA1SUM value? That not quite the way to do it.

What you want to do is download a SHA1SUM utility, and run it on the ISO you downloaded. Usually it's a command line tool. There are versions for Windows available, and it should be built into Mac OS X.

Here's what it looks like from my Command Prompt in Windows XP:

Code: Select all
D:\Documents and Settings\paulp\My Documents\sha1sum>sha1sum "I:\YDL 6.2\yellowd
og-6.2-ppc-DVD_20090629.iso"
85e7cbb2f5a158c6e00f9e0cd253e77d3a9a6a85  I:\YDL 6.2\yellowdog-6.2-ppc-DVD_20090
629.iso

D:\Documents and Settings\paulp\My Documents\sha1sum>

Cheers,
Paul

Also, is there any reason you're trying to use 6.1 instead of 6.2?
