ps3 media server

I've just linked a ps3 media server to the ps3 but laptap can't find it , the icon is on the ps3 but gives the following msg (media server error, A DLNA protocol error (7531) has occourred. thanks for replies.

I use TVersity and haven't tried that one -- looks nice, though.

Do i have to register with ps3 media server if not why doesn't it recognise my my username & password

I also use ps-mediaserver one thing that none of the guides mention is you will have to make your own wireless/wired connection a trusted device, in your firewall config check eth1/eth0 or whatever your connection is called is a trusted interface.

Thanks, My ps3 is giving 7531 error apparently my pc registiry needs cleaned up. i'm waiting on that being sorted then i'll have a better idea. What happened to plug it in switch it on, those was da days. The only good thing in my day is i don't ave a wife that naggs or i'm just deaf.
