I found this ebook about linux online its about 400 pages long thought maybe some of you would find it useful.I scanned it for virus its clean. I hope to find it helpful. :) :mrgreen:

So - this isn't a general Linux help guide. Instead, it's a guide to installing Linux From Scratch. This is a guide to creating your own Linux distro and installing it.

That's probably not so helpful with YDL, to be honest. YDL is already established, and we have plenty of help here. Also - YDL differs in some ways from a LFS installation. There will be things in YDL that aren't in LFS and vice versa.

If you're looking for a guide to YDL, you're better off looking for general Linux texts (i.e. "Linux for Dummies"). In addition, YDL is closest in spirit to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its variants (CentOS, Scientific Linux, etc.). Beginner guides for RHEL would be your best bet.

Be aware that there are at least 4 major types of Linux - Red Hat, Debian, Slackware & Gentoo. Each are different enough to warrant separate guides. Stick to Red Hat guides for YDL.
