Gamegenie cheats for SNES emulator?

and why cant i use the cheats from gamegenie to cheat on my game secret of mana, i enter the right codes but it looks like it not using the cheat? like example, one code is for Start new game at Level 16, but when i start new game, its still at level1 , even with the box check

yup, i will gladly appreciate if someone help me out on ps3 ydl 6.2 snes9x version 1.52
i really like to have it to play my cheats and really want to put recorded videos on youtube and be able to play on linux media player.

So - the way our forum works - if folks don't know an answer, they don't post. For us, it's better to be silent than to guess and post incorrect information. As you've noticed, Linux isn't very forgiving of mistakes. We weren't ignoring your question - literally - no one knew the answer.

Since you managed to figure out how the game genie codes work, we would kindly ask you to post your solution here so that others can see how you did it, and that our search function can index the solution for future visitors.

the way i worked the gamegenie codes is to input and check box were the cheat is. i turn off the game and turn it back on and check the box, then it works. i do this every time i play emulator, chec/x da box

No idea. I don't use game emulators on the PS3 - I still have the original consoles and cartridges for those.
