Gmail Voice phone calls/plugin??

Forgive me if this has in some way been brought up, I searched. Has anyone managed to get the gmail voice/chat plugin working? I would really like to be able to use the new feature in gmail to make an outbound phone call. I have a bluetooth headset and have already been using google voice for a while now (not on linux). My phone is off for now, can't afford it at the moment, and I was wondering if anyone has a workaround. It seems the plugin is i386, I can't seem to find one for PPC. I also have google voice if anyone has had success making calls on that without a phone, I'd love to know. Thanks.

As you've discovered, there's no PPC version and I don't know of any workaround.

However, YDL includes ekiga which should work for you ... we tested it successfully a while back:
