Yellowdog 6.2 install SOLVED

When i try to install Yellowdog Linux 6.2 the installer hangs on loading /sbin...

Any solution?

Please see the README post, near the bottom under the "Solving problems with burning the Install DVD and installation errors"

Basically you want to confirm the iso you downloaded isn't corrupt (using sha1sum) and then confirm the DVD was written correctly with software that provides verification after burning (such as imgburn on Windows). After that we can look for other problems.

On my iBook G4 the installer just run´s fine but on my 40g Playstation 3 it just hangs

I sucessfully installed it on my 60 GB PS3 System without any Problems so far

It could possibly be a keyboard issue -- on your 40gig are you using the same keyboard you used when installing it on your 60gig model? There have been previous mentions of the installer hanging at sbin on the forum.

It works i am writing you this message on my 40gb model
It was the keyboard....
Now i got 2 ps3 s running yellowdog... is there a way to create an own install cd?
I want to build a cluster with 10 PS3 s running Apache Hadoop on them...do you think thats possible?
And could Fixstars US be interested in this Project?
