Wireless ps3

Postby clem58 » 06 Nov 2010, 16:41

Sorry to have to ask again, i wanted to know how to set up wireless connection for linux os. It seems that if i want the linux side of the ps3 to be wireless i need a different set of instructions. I discovered this when i set up my ps3 to operate wirelessly. They were posted to me but i don't seem to be able to trace them.

What version of YDL are you using?

If you're using YDL 6.2, it's probably easiest to use wicd. That's a graphical configuration tool you can find (if you're using the default Enlightenment environment) from (YDL icon) --> Applications --> Internet

If you're using 6.1, it's trickier. You can use Wicd, but you have to apply a community patch that one of our users wrote. I have instructions here:

If you aren't using WPA, it might be easier to use the built-in Wireless support instead of wicd:

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4534#p23390

are my general wireless instructions.

If you're using older YDLs - my general tips and tricks might help:
