Glad to hear it! On the PS3 I'm able to maximize the window or run full screen with a display resolution of 1280x720, but only with 360p YouTube video resolution. HD (720p+) videos are very choppy even with a small window size.

Thanks again

Maybe someone should make a youtube video demonstrating this, since I'll be missing out on all the fun :( I still have no space on my ps3 to add any thing :( and for some reason it still heats up :(

How would I go about updating xulrunner 1.9.1 to xulrunner 1.9.2

Cheers,
Greg

When I was rebuilding Firefox 3.0.x SRPMs, it would generate the appropriate Xulrunner package. From what I can tell on-line, Xulrunner 1.9.2 accompanies Firefox 3.6.

However - since I started building Firefox 3.6 directly from Mozilla's source code tree, I'm apparently not generating these anymore. The Firefox builds I generate are self contained.

You might see if there's a RHEL/CentOS SRPM for Firefox 3.6. That would be a quick way of building an RPM of Xulrunner 1.9.2

Cheers,
Paul

Here's what I'm up to, I'm not at my ps3 now but I've upgraded my ydl and updated some more and then finally I ran out of room haha. So instead of reinstalling I decided to give Fedora a try, went with 11. Turned on ps3vram, disabled and removed a bunch of services, yum update and built a slimmer ps3 kernel finally yum upgrade. Leaving me with Fedora 12. I've read on the net that F12 isn't usable on the ps3 but I'm finding it not that bad, and I haven't played around with fluxbox yet so that might help to improve things.

I see That I can download F13 firefox source rpm from rpmfind presumably that would complie on F12. Questions: will the compile result in a xulrunner devel package, assuming I set the right options in .mozcofig? Will the applications I have to remove reinstall with the new firefox and liabraries? I think one may be "yelp" or something like that. Not at ps3 at the moment

Thanks for any consideration,
Greg

PS I've also read that lightspark uses OpenGL for rendering part. If someone wants to squash my hopes of getting this working I don't mind lol just having fun playing around with Linux

You will only need to recompile xulrunner (as opposed to Firefox) to get xulrunner-devel package. The latest Fedora 13 srpm is currently xulrunner-1.9.2.7-2.fc13.src.rpm available in updates.

I tried Fedora 12 on the PS3 as well and it certainly seemed quite usable to me even under Gnome.
