ydl cannot connect to wireless internet HELP

hI,

OK INSTALLED YDL 6.0 NO PROBS EVERYTHING WORKING AS IT SHOULD BUT I CANNOT CONNECT TO THE WIRELESS INTERNET I HAVE A LINKSYS ROUTER AND I DID HAVE A KEY BUT TOOK IT OFF TO MAKE IT EASIER , WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT THE GREEN LIGHT ON THE PS3 STAYS ON FOR ABOUT 2 SECS THEN GOES OFF AND I GET A ERROR MESSAGE SAYING "CANNOT ACTIVATE NETWORK DEVICE ETHO!" AND "DETERMINING IP INFORMATION FOR ETHO ...FAILED, NO LINK PRESENT. CHECK CABLE?" I THINK I HAVE TRIED NEARLY EVERY GUIDE WITH NO SUCCESS CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. PLEASE
