i can't get updates our package manager!

I am unable to retrieve updates our package manager! It says theres no network connection and i'm on the internet. I im new to yellow dog linux 6 on the ps3 and all the systems i build is XP sp3 and this is my first post

i did the yum check-update

I had that problem briefly yesterday, but it went away when I tried it a few minutes later ... is it still not working for you now?

hey billb i got updates showing up and package manager going. what i did start messing with my fios router on the ps3 i was getting something about "this router does not support the IP fragments" after i did a test on Network Connections then i when to the routers firewall settings there was a box called Block IP Fragments i click on it and turn off the block and the message did not pop up after i test the Network Connections on the XMB and i switch back to linux click on updates still not getting updates showing up and package manager going. so what i did is

gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/livna-stable.repo

a window came up

i get this

baseurl=http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/6/ppc

gpgcheck=0

i start messing with gpgcheck and enabled

i had

enabled=1
gpgcheck=1

no luck

and the second time

enabled=0
gpgcheck=0

and bingo i got it to work

Well ... not really. You've just disabled the livna repo so you won't have access to any of the software included in that repo. The livna-stable.repo still appears to be working fine for me ...
