Login and password?? YDL 6.0 on ps3 installation

Hello, im tryin to install ydl 6 on my ps3 and ive gotten through all the steps but when i tryed to go through firstboot it just brings up a black screen the says:
localhost login:
password:

anything i type in just gets the response: login incorrect

anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like you installed in text mode (on an SDTV?) and you need to log in as the root user with the password created during installation, then you can switch to a low-resolution GUI mode.

Thanks very helpful because now at least I can perform actions in the text but the code Xautoconfig isnt recognized so the farthest ive gotten is logging in as root and creating a user login but where do i go from here?


*oh and btw I do have a tv capable of 1080p but when i first tried to install one of the packaged apps was corrupt or something so I had to disable all but enlightenment

i cant use my gui. i get to the login and password stage, and then press enter and all that comes up is 'root@localhost' i think. soed anyone know what i have to do from here??
