B & W G3, nothing happens

This is my first time posting to the forums (I usually use the list) so pardon my if I break etiquette.

I have ydl 3.0.1 on my powerbook and now am trying to install it on a Blue & White G3 300. I start up from the CD and get to the prompt

boot:

After pressing return, it says something about loading a kernel, then says ~ "kernel ElfXXX". Then what looks like the beginning of the startup script flashes on the screen and then less than a second later the whole screen goes blank, the CD stops spinning and it just sits there until I finally have to turn off the computer manually.

I'm lost as to where to start so any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you download the cd images (.iso) or buy a box set from terrasoft? if you downloaded the images were the md5 checksums the same? How much ram does the system have?
