When I installed it now when I boot it says
"Yellow Dog Linux Release 6.8 (Pyxys)
Kernel 2.6.23-9.yd16.1 an an ppc64

I cant get past this message, No matter what I type it says invalid password

Ok I figured out that the login Is Root and password is master password.
Now since i installed in text mode since i do not have a HDTV I cant do anything at all(or i dont know how)
Is there a way to change the text mode into a normal view or a graphical view supported by normal tvs

Yes - see this posting in our PS3 section to figure out the video mode that works best for you:

Howto: PS3 Video (YDL 6)

Then, you'll need to do step 6 below. This will make your PS3 come up in graphics mode instead of text mode:

1. Introduction to PS3 video.
2. PS3 video connections.
3. Selecting a PS3 video mode.
4. Configuring YDL 6.0 for the chosen PS3 video mode.
5. PS3 video tips and tricks.
6. How to switch from text to graphical mode on a PS3.

You should read thru the other links to understand how PS3 video works - it's a little different than the display on a regular PC. But - steps 1 thru 5 are condensed in the PS3 forum link above.

However, the basic outline is:

1. Use ps3-video-mode to determine the video mode number that works best

2. Edit /etc/yaboot.conf and change this section:

append="rhgb quiet root...
to
append="video=ps3fb:mode:{YOUR VIDEO MODE} rhgb quiet root...

3. Edit /etc/inittab and change the initdefault from a 3 to a 5.
