You can't run that on PPC Linux -- they only offer it for x86 and x86 64-bit Linux, not PPC Linux such as YDL.

Regarding your video question ... are you using a PS3? If so, see the README post in the PS3 subforum and look for the PS3 Video Guide.

Pardon me for jumping in here, but if you're looking for a distributed net program to run on YDL for PS3, this is a good one:

http://www.ps3grid.net/

Their code actually uses the Cell SPEs. Plus - it installs BOINC - which other distributed programs require.

Cheers,
Paul

Paul have you installed this on your PS3?

I've used the Winblows version of Boinc and was wondering if PS3GRID supports the entire groups of projects ( i.e. SETI, Einstein, Milky Way, Cosmology etc.) or just a sub-set of all the Boinc projects.

Yeah - I did. It doesn't really support the others - unless they have a PPC binary available. They did a seemingly full compile of BOINC, but the other projects don't support the processor target.

For the most part, I just use it for PS3GRID. :)

dr.evil, to change the keyboard layout type
Code: Select all
system-config-keyboard
I can't remember if you need to be root but if you do type su - then your root password, the keyboard layout should be active instantly no need to reboot :D
60Gb ps3 otheros awol. currently playing:bad company and farcry 2 again (seeing how far I can get using permadeath principle)update: regretfully Warren Clyde was involved in a shootout south of Pala and killed when he was hit by a land rover. RIP Warren
