In addition to what billb mentioned in the post above, did you verify the ISO you downloaded and burned? You would use the SHA1SUM value which should be in the same directory you downloaded the ISO from.

That's a PS3 bootloader - not a Ubuntu boot loader, per se. Nothing needs to be ported.

You install it from the GameOS. So - yes - you can use petitboot with YDL.

Okay so the problem is YDL thinks you need to install thats why its keeps sticking on Kboot
The same thing happened to me. when you booted up the seconde time did you happen to press anything on the key board? What you need to do is press enter at Kboot reinstall YDL then when you boot back to YDL from you ps3 remove the CD inside and make sure you don't press ur keyboard at k-boot.
