Bootx_1.2.2.sit corrupted

Postby john7506 » 11 Aug 2004, 20:27

I just started the installation of 3.0.1. Booted in Classic Mac OS. Dragged ramdisk.image.gz to system folder. Double clicked on Bootx_1.2.2.sit. Received "The archive 'Bootx_1.2.2.sit has been corrupted or may not be a valid archive." If I answer yes, i get "Sorry, but a disk related error (File Locked) has occurred...The archive is damaged".. How must I get thruogh this?

Hello,

I just had the same problem today and I fixed it by unstuffing BootX with a more recent version of stuffit expander.

I wanted to install YDL on a mac OS 8 system. I couldn't unstuff it.
I have another mac with OS X and stuffit expander 8.0.2. So I mounted the Disc 1 ISO and unstuffed the BootX on my OS X system.
Then I used a Zip100 to bring the unstuff app to my older mac.

there you go it worked.

I hope this help :)
