Error while installing YDL 5.0

ive tried to install YDL 5.0 on my PS3 40GB/PAL
ANNACONDA ran smothly but when the text mode install came (TEXT MODE)
ive tried test os , with an error that chucksum is not found
(THEN ITS AUTOMATICLLY GOES TO GRAPHICAL MODE INSTALLATION)
the Xwindow ran with only the mouse pointer (BLACK/BLANK)
no forms to fill out my configuration
AND NO FORMS POUPS

when i restart my ps3 ive found these error
atribute cannot set for hardware 'X' blah blah blah
and before the kboot rans
there was an error in UDS somthing writen about VRS
and lease fail

my problem is why its stops when Xwindow starts...

First of all you may have a bad disc.

Did you download an ISO and create the disc? If so, you can check the validity of your ISO using a program called SHA1SUM. You'll have to download a copy for your other computer - Linux, Mac or PC.

There are some suggestions here:

Next, run SHA1SUM on the ISO you downloaded. You will get a numeric value. Compare that numeric value to the ISO listed in this file:
http://ydl.oregonstate.edu/iso/SHA1SUM

If these do not match - you have a bad download and need to re-download.

If you purchased a DVD ROM, you must perform the SHA1SUM check on your media. This is much more difficult. I describe how to do it for Linux here:

Once you verify that your media is good, we can start troubleshooting your other issues.

P.S. Is there a reason you're not using the latest version of YDL? We're currently using 6.1 - most of us haven't used any version of 5.x in a long time. Also - you might have better luck with YDL 5.0.1 - that seemed to be the best YDL 5.x version for PS3s.

ive downloaded it from a torrent site
plus ill try to download it from the link you gave me
why iam using 5.0 ? i think because when ps3 released ive downloaded the file , and yet i were real busy to play games and such and now ive
returned to use games console (ps3) so ive tried to install it , i didnot know there was a 6.x until i was searching for a solution for the Xwindow installation..

back. ive jst downloaded the 6.1 and checked the SA1SUM every thing is good
checked the network configuration
now iam at the KBOOT , no tabs no nothings tryed ps3_install_1080i nothing
even install text_install

its says eval: 1: <command>: not found

just in the bash staying ctrying to cd the folders no make no nothing
tryed to reconfigure the display opntions from the gameos usef ps3-boot-game-os nothing yet...

now iam trying to burn other copy using imgburn if it works i think ive done my home work
but why cant install all files are there and copyed right!
if its not ill wait for the kboot anwer

tryed imgburn still same problem

its done , now iam entering the anaconda after formating the hard desk and restoring the ps3
the xwindow now is working

now whuile configuring the keyboard its hangs up..

Are you continually editing this post? It's really hard to understand.

A better way is to use the QUOTE button and create follow-up posts - that way I know when you're trying these things.
