I started it off at 9:00 PM and it completed close to 11:30 PM, approx. 2 1/2 hours. This isn't a complaint, lot probably changed, just how my elapsed time was for doing it. I used the GUI, Applications/System Tools/Software Updater after making the changes to the three (3) files used for system updating recommended by billb and it did it's thing.
My first priority was to see how well wireless would work. Under 6.1 I had a devil of a time with it and gave up and went with wired / eth0 for my connection. Well, with 6.2 totally different experience !
The GUI worked great - I put in the encryption and passphrase for the secured wireless network I have and had a no-hassle connection! Bravo on this enhancement!
Haven't had a chance to go thru the other custom type stuff, but this fix alone makes me a happy guy !
